The Systems Analyst II will join our Outsourcing team in Lewiston, ME, and will report to our Application Manager. No relocation assistance is available for this position, so local candidates will be given priority. The major goal of the Systems Analyst II is to work with CMMC departments and ACS staff to plan and implement technological solutions to meet the goals of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Determine goals and objectives of each project and identifying all stakeholders of a project.
- Identify customer functional requirements.
- Develop a project plan with timelines and milestones based on priorities and resource requirements.
- Define roles and responsibilities related to the project.
- Develop and implement a communication plan to include project progress.
- Develop conversion/migration requirements and life cycle plans.
- Coordinate handoffs to operations, support and technical staff, in Information Systems.
- Manage vendor relationships.
- Document issues and problems as discovered and managing same.
- Develop documentation for training, maintenance and support, including problem resolution and escalation decision trees.
- Develop department standards for analysis, design, programming, production readiness, and documentation.
- Respond to Information Systems support calls for new development within 1 business day of receipt of call.
- Consult with users to identify and clarify business and clinical process needs and objectives, and recommend alternative solutions, both automated and manual, to meet those needs.
- Lead users through process redesign.
- Assume a lead role in formulating plans and outlining steps to develop and/or deploy software (programs, databases, reports, and interfaces). Determine resource requirements. Submit analysis to management for prioritization.
- Use department standards, develop and/or deploy, test and document software.
- Document issues and problems when discovered and managing same.
- Write software documentation for maintenance and support, including problem resolution and escalation decision trees.
- Develop end user training requirements and necessary curriculum to meet those requirements.
- Develop documentation of completed projects for maintenance and support.
- Assist in training of the Information Systems support analysts.
- Collaborate with the Information Systems support analysts to provide user training; conducting training sessions as necessary.
- Evaluate and monitor training for effectiveness.
- Resolve support issues according to Information Systems policies, providing documentation and decision trees to Information Systems support analysts for future reference.
- Identify alternate methods to work in progress or in production.
- Assist with the installation of upgrades to platforms and/or applications.
Required Education and Experience:
- AS in Computer Science or equivalent in educational and/or work experience.
- Five or more years’ work experience as a systems or support analyst, and/or as a healthcare professional, and/or in project management
- Experience with MS office software, DOS, and Windows
- Knowledge of one or more of the following: Cognos products, Oracle, C++, Unix, SQL, Visual Basic, Image, Access, Btrieve.
