ACS Healthcare Solutions Outsourcing Division specializes in managing IT organizations for healthcare providers nationwide. This position for a Clinical Application Analyst with a patient care application focus is located in Vancouver, Washington. Candidates local to the Vancouver, WA/Portland, OR area or those willing to relocate will be considered. This is a direct, full time, non-travel career opportunity.

Position Specific Information

• Individuals in this position must be able to work comfortably with a variety of clinical software applications, systems analysis methodologies, custom developed and web-enabled applications and systems.
• Individuals must understand and demonstrate the tools and techniques available to troubleshoot and resolve client/server and host based application issues as well as demonstrate the capability to coordinate various IS teams and team members to assist in the resolution of issues.
• Individuals in this position must be willing to support their systems as needed and participate in a rotating on-call shift.
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong functional understanding of Hospital department processes within the clinical setting, as well as a working knowledge to support those processes. Candidate must be able to efficiently work both independently and within a team, to complete tasks to budget and timeline, and to function with flexibility in a fast paced Hospital Information Systems environment.
• Individuals will possess solid project management skills and demonstrate the capability to effectively drive the critical paths of multiple projects to completion within a given timeline.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• Minimum 5 years experience in Healthcare, system support, system implementation, or systems analysis.
• Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare profession, Clinical degree in health care field, BS in Information Technology or equivalent work experience required.
• Preferred applicant has working knowledge of the McKesson Horizon Clinical Products, (Horizon Surgical Manager, Horizon Clinicals, Horizon Emergency Care, etc).
• Candidate will have working knowledge of HL7 language and mapping.
• Strong functional understanding of common reporting tools and methodologies (Crystal, SQL Server, SQL DTS) preferred
• Project Management experience required (PMI Certification preferred).

Preferred Experience:

• Strong working knowledge/experience in the implementation and support of McKesson Clinical Suite of applications, Horizon Expert Documentation, Horizon Physician Portal, Horizon Admin Rx, Horizon Clinical Infrastructure, Horizon Surgical Manager, Horizon Expert Orders and Horizon Emergency Care) preferred.
