Emergency Department Application Analyst—Princeton, NJ

The Emergency Department Application Analyst is responsible for supporting the system activities of the ED module of the Misys CPR Clinical Information System.  This position will report to the Clinical Applications Manager.  The ED analyst will act as a liaison with other managers, physicians, and staff of PHCS and report to the Clinical Applications Manager for project approval, management, and task management guidance.

  • Resource that lives locally to Princeton, NJ, or is willing to relocate.  Able to commute on-site within 45 minutes to address system issues that arise while on-call.   
  • Misys CPR experience preferred.  In lieu of specific experience with Misys CPR, must have 3 to 5 years experience in a clinical computing environment with developing, installing and supporting clinical information systems in the Emergency Department.   
  • Clinical experience desirable in the Emergency Department.
  • Experience with communicating and working with physicians and other clinical personnel.  Ensure effective communication within and between assigned departments.
  • Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
  • Possess team management skills necessary to lead projects related to the Emergency Department. 
  • Understand the business needs and processes of the Emergency Department and be able to assist the department in utilizing the software to support and maximize the operational benefits to achieve best practices. 
  • Identifies, analyzes, tracks and reports system and other related problems and issues to the Clinical Applications Manager and Department User Liaisons.
  • Work in conjunction with the Clinical Applications Manager to keep the system working and overcome any obstacles.
  • Develop specifications for each department/application. Develop security and sign-on requirements for each department.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining IT departmental education materials to support the system.
