ACS Healthcare Solutions Outsourcing Division specializes in managing IT organizations for healthcare providers nationwide. This position for a Business Application Analyst is located in Vancouver, Washington. Candidates local to the Vancouver, WA/Portland, OR area or those willing to relocate will be considered. This is a direct, full time, non-travel career opportunity.

Position Specific Information

  • Strong communication and leadership skills and a willingness to lead by example
  • Solid interpersonal skills; active listener; staff & project facilitator; progressive leadership development and organizational skills. Individuals will possess solid project management skills and demonstrate the capability to effectively drive the critical paths of multiple projects to completion within a given timeline
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management, workflow planning, and staff development. Individuals in this position must be able to work comfortably with a variety of software applications, systems analysis methodologies, custom developed, and web-enabled applications and systems
  • Individuals must understand and demonstrate the tools and techniques available to troubleshoot and resolve client/server and host based application issues as well as demonstrate the capability to coordinate various IS teams and team members to assist in the resolution of issues
  • Individuals in this position will be assigned applications to support and participate in a rotating on-call shift. 
  • Candidate must be able to efficiently work both independently and within a team, to manage and mentor tasks to budget and timeline, and to function with flexibility in a fast paced Hospital Information Systems environment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s or Technical Degree in Healthcare, Business, Nursing or Information Systems preferred
  • Hospital experience and understands hospital financial and patient business workflow processes.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Healthcare, application system support, and application system implementation.
  • Strong ability to analyze and troubleshoot applications quickly
  • Understands HL7 and interface integration.
  • Strong working knowledge/experience in the implementation and support of the Financial and Materials Management applications with preferred knowledge in the McKesson systems and integration points within the McKesson suite of products (Pathways Financial Manager, Pathways Materials Manager, Fixed Assets).
  • Strong functional understanding of common reporting tools and methodologies (Crystal, SQL )
  • Experience in MS Project, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Database knowledge and understanding.
  • Project Management experience
