McKesson System Engineer – Dearborn Processing Center

Outsourcing currently has an opening for a Systems Engineer with experience in supporting McKesson hospital application suites. This position is located at our Processing Center in Dearborn, Michigan. This center is a hosting environment for healthcare applications to support our established outsourcing clients sites as well as new contracts. Candidates must be local to the Dearborn area or candidates willing to relocate to the Dearborn area.

This individual will be responsible for technical support for McKesson applications and performing all system administration functions for the application. This includes installing system upgrades, creation/management of SQL queries/reporting, and database support.

A successful candidate should have 4+ years experience in supporting McKesson applications (such as Care Manager, Pathways, Star, Horizon) on client server platforms as a System Administrator or Technical Architect. Other required qualifications include:

• Experience in supporting large scale McKesson application implementations from a technical perspective including performance management, application maintenance and other technical system administration functions.
• Understanding of McKesson Care Manager application suite on an enterprise level, with focus on technical aspects including database structure, errors, cause/effect of problems, build knowledge, interfaces and functionality troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of SQL to build/create Care Manager clinical queries as needed by clinical staff.
• Working knowledge of Business Objects and/or Clinical Query in the Care Manager application suite.
• Experience with McKesson Star SQL
• Strong knowledge of the McKesson Star application relating to its data structure
• Good understanding of hospital clinical and financial data.
