ACS-HCS Outsourcing Solutions seeks a Cerner Core Analyst to support our client’s Cerner Millennium applications and other interfaced departmental systems to meet the goals of the organization.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience supporting Cerner Millennium including security, WTS, reporting and rules, iNet critical care applications, and Bedside Medical Device Interfaces (BMDI).
- Oracle, AIX, UNIX, CITRIX knowledge.
- Resource for SQL extracts, reports and configurations as well as Cerner CCL.
- Assist with the technical components of application system patches and updates.
- Understand Operating System upgrades.
- Manage onsite technical tasks of application projects.
- Establish monitoring tools for system and monitor for alerts and problems.
- Provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for clinical and revenue cycle applications, from definition phase through implementation.
- Work with application analysts, technical, desktop and processing center staff.
- Recognizes system deficiencies, recommends and implements effective solutions.
- Creates and executes development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Keeps project managers and directors well informed of status of projects, work orders and system build efforts and serves as technical liaison for applications staff. .
- Owns the technical development lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout the application projects and systems.
- Must currently live near or willing to relocate to New Britain, CT.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:
- Experience in IT infrastructure projects.
- Experience with Oracle.
- Understanding of various UNIX based operating systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products such as Windows 2000 and Exchange Server 2000.
- Understanding of Microsoft clustering and high availability concepts with practical experience.
- Understanding of Active Directory theory and implementation.
- Deep knowledge of databases using entity-relationship techniques, structured analysis techniques, and a thorough knowledge of various RDBMS architecture including SQL.
- Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies as they relate to remote connectivity solutions, internetworking systems, and security issues.
- Understanding of Microsoft networking such as integrated DNS, DHCP and WINS.
- This position requires rotational on-call responsibilities
- Working knowledge of installing, configuring, troubleshooting a wide-range of applications
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
