The Desktop Engineer will work out our outsourcing site in Princeton, NJ. There is no relocation assistance provided for this position so local candidates will be given priority. 

Under direction of the Director of Technical Services, the Desktop Engineer is the primary technical resource for the hardware and operating systems of each assigned healthcare facility.  The Desktop Engineer will perform installations, upgrades, and modifications to the operating system software, troubleshoot any and all computer issue (hardware or software) as assigned.  This position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our customers.  The ideal candidate will take pride in the upkeep of the IT infrastructure at the facility.     

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of solid experience in a desktop support capacity
• Provide Desktop Support for various operating systems including Windows XP and Vista
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot desktop, laptop and printer hardware and software.
• Provide remote support for external desktop and laptop connections via VPN, wireless, broadband.
• Solid experience with ghosting/imaging systems or related software
• Assist with automating the desktop build process and packaging applications.
• Candidate should be able to troubleshoot and resolve network TCP/IP problems.
• PC hardware/software, latest operating systems, and basic network connectivity and communications
• Certification in A+, MCP, or MCSE, is a plus.
• Must be able to respond quickly, competently and patiently with end user clients
• Excellent communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills are a must.
