Field Engineer
Rumford or Bridgeton, ME
The Field Engineer will work out our outsourcing site in Bridgeton or Rumford, ME. There is no relocation assistance provided for this position so local candidates will be given priority.
Under direction of the Director of Technical Services, the Field Engineer is the primary technical resource for the hardware and operating systems of each assigned healthcare facility. The Field Engineer will perform installations, upgrades, and modifications to the operating system software, troubleshoot any and all computer issue (hardware or software) as assigned and become a vital part of the Information Technology team by learning how to fix problems with the electronic medical records system. This position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our customers. The ideal candidate will take pride in the upkeep of the IT infrastructure at the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Hardware repair, desktop refresh and maintenance
- Ongoing system activities
- General software support
- Working with Application Analysts for Application Support
- Capacity planning and performance analysis
- IS customer support to the end-user
Requirements:
- Three to five years of desktop support experience
- Basic network administration and monitoring experience
- Strong experience with XP, 2000 and NT
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot network issues
- Strong customer service experience
